Ding, ding, ding. The attendant rises and walks out. “Fill her up,” you say. He removes the handle from the tank and inserts it in the slot. While the liquid is flowing, he sprays the windshield and wipes it with paper towels. Next, he pops the hood, removes the oil stick and checks the level, wiping it clean with the rag dangling from his back pocket.
