WHAT HAVE YOU DONE, FOR JESUS CHRIST LATELY?

Our First Priorities, What Have You Done For The Lord God Jesus Christ, Lately?

( And Not What You Have Done For The World, the ungodly or sinners! )

Yes, most religious people and Sunday' worshipers and your spiritual leaders minister and serve the world around them, instead of doing what The Lord Jesus Christ Commanded Peter to do, Feed His Sheep and Feed His Lambs... So many of you keep on trying to pack as much as you can in your day; getting that delicate balance between, Church going, work, family, faith, recreation, etc.

Let's take a step back from everything my spiritual family in the Lord Jesus Christ.

When you wake up in the morning and before you go to your rest at night, what is the first and highest priority in your lives? What should be on your minds Christ Church?

Well, when your minds first gain conscious thought in the morning, what do you find yourself thinking about? Just before you drift off into blissful abandon at night, what thoughts are turning over and over in your minds Saints?

God's Awesome Holy Word Says Here...

Surely I will not come into the tabernacle of my house, nor go up into my bed;

I will not give sleep to my eyes, or slumber to mine eyelids,

Until I find out a place for the LORD, a habitation for the mighty God of Jacob.

By King David/ Psalms 132:3-5

Notice the intensity in which this is written. I will not go to my house. I will not go to rest. I will not allow myself to doze to sleep, until... what? Until he has found a place for the Lord, a habitation for the mighty God of Jacob.

Now it was King David's vow and desire to build a sanctuary that God could dwell in. This privilege, however, was given to his son Solomon. But the meaning behind these verses is much deeper than that. Consider the following. Jesus Said this, that He Himself would build His very own Church, Not man or women or children.

For thus saith the High and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose Name is Holy; I dwell in the High and Holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.

Isaiah 57:15

What? know you not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and you are not your own?

1 Corinthians 6:19, meaning We who are truly and really born again are His real true and living Church, Not any buildings put together by human hands.

Above any earthly building or structure, where does God want to dwell? Where does God wish to make His habitation? Yes! In you and I. We are the temple of the Holy Ghost. God wishes to dwell in our mind to strengthen us, speak to us and guide us to the heavenly inheritance.

Like King David in Psalms 132, may our earnest, solemn and sincere desire be to say:

"I will not give sleep to my eyes, or slumber to my eyelids until... I have found a place for the Lord, a habitation for the mighty God of Jacob... in my heart"

This is our first and highest work. More important than any other is to know what we are abiding in Christ. This is it my brothers and my dear sisters in the Lord. Doesn't matter what happens to us, or what happens during the day. Let our first waking thought be to connect with our God and our Saviour. And may the last thoughts before we drift off to sleep every night, be to make sure we are right with God and that He is dwelling with us in Christ in the Holy Ghost.

Our first and highest duty is to know that we are abiding in Christ. He must do the work; but we are to seek to know what says the Lord, yielding our lives to His guidance. When we have His Holy Spirit of an abiding Christ, everything will take on a changed aspect. The Saviour alone can give us the rest and peace we need, and every invitation He gives us to seek the Lord is a call to abide in Him. It is an invitation not merely to come to Him but to remain in Him and serve and support and minister to His Sheep and Lambs, First and them our world. Amen Church and Leaders.
